Dr. Schmidt is a psychiatrist with vast training and experience in psychotherapy and in the field of neuropsychiatry. He has lectured to psychiatry groups on topics of communication skills, psychiatric management of head injuries, bipolar/affective and anxiety disorders, group therapy techniques, etc. He has done research in OCD, sleep disorders, and ADD, and has served on many years as a director of inpatient units, nursing homes, and the Intensive Outpatient Program of the Michigan Minrith-Meier Clinic.

Education:

Hours: Currently, Dr. Schmidt is only in this particular location on Fridays, from 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Appointment time and session length vary.

Fee Schedule:
   1st visit - 2 hours - $340
   2nd visit - 1 hour - $240
   3rd visit and after - 30 minutes - $140
   Medication check - 20 minutes - $75

Self-Pay: To prevent anti-therapeutic intrusion of insurance companies, Dr. Schmidt, for the last ten years, has asked patients to pay fees at session time. He provides patients the approximate information on a claim form, so that each person may file for reimbursement from insurance companies.
